Well established in the Lakes community and already full of amazing children, our Lakes centre epitomizes some of AA Milne’s most well known quotes, with the children and families having a strong sense of friendship and belonging. Infant rooms have an average teacher to child ratio of 1:4. Toddler rooms have an average teacher to child ratio of 1:6. Preschool rooms have an average teacher to child ratio of 1:8.

*If enrolled hours include lunch time, optional meals are provided at $6.00 per day. Children in our kindy room provide their own lunches so no $6.00 charge will be made.

Meet our Educational Leader

Lauren Palmer
Kia ora! My name is Lauren, and I am the Educational Leader at Above and Beyond The Lakes. I am a qualified primary teacher and previously worked as the Head Teacher in the Young Children’s room. I began working at Above and Beyond in early 2023, straight out of teachers college at Bethlehem Tertiary Institute, after changing career paths from hospitality. I stepped into my current role at the beginning of 2024. I am married with two school-aged daughters, and I am passionate about fostering collaboration and unity through kindness and respect. My goal is to help create a loving, well-supported, and safe learning environment for our whānau, their tamariki, and our Kaiako where all can learn, grow, and flourish.

Explore Our Environments
We could not be more thrilled with finding Above & Beyond The Lakes. Our son absolutely loves going every day and has been thriving in the environment. You can clearly see all the lovely teachers take so much care with each individual child. The setup is just fantastic with so many different aspects to the centre - no matter rain or shine, our son has had a great day exploring the different areas - in or out doors.

ENROLMENT FEE: $50.oo

*If enrolled hours include lunch time, compulsory meals are provided at $5.00 per day. Children in our kindy room provide their own lunches so no $5.00 charge will be made.
